Your dream Ultra build

So now my son is firmly hooked on Ebikes and we are both anxiously awaiting my Frey CC delivery next year. In the meantime, he wants to build a bike with an Ultra motor. He sent a picture of a frame only from China for around $650 and asked about what it would take and what components we should use. I know there are kits out there, but does anyone have a dream build using the Ultra. We prefer dual suspension. I will hang up and listen...

Ok, super. Nice early response. So do we just buy the Freys and Sonders or is there a way to build an Ultra under 55lbs and get your name in the Flat 6 HOF?

It would be nice if the Pushkar guys could chime in and help a brother out and steer us in the right direction. I know, I will wait on the Frey, maybe I sample a Rockstar, but if you want to buy an Ultra motor and enlist WW, please send me the rest of the build. And lets keep it under 60 lbs, I think that is like somewhere in the 12 kilo range

I think there's a good reason why an Ultra build donor bike might already be an Ultra powered bike. Few are going to want to adapt a conventional frame to accomadate the special Ultra mounting bracket. Most will go BBS02 or BBSHD to avoid the potential alignment and welding issues. I know they would stop me dead in the water....
