You bought from someone else… now you expect the reseller you didn’t purchase from to support you!

just dont mistake it for shampoo!!!
In 1970 I was prepped for kidney surgery at the Minneapolis VA. They used a hair removal creme It was applied on my left side from mid-body and throughout my groin. I reacted and the entire area was like a first-degree burn. Burning hot, bright red, raised, and excruciating. 3 days forever locked in memory.

I got sloppy one time with BenGay when applying to the back of my thigh.. Talk about great balls of fire! 🔥🎱🎱🔥

Confession: I had hair growing out of my ears and not as much where it should be, namely on top of my head. So I few years ago I while getting a spray bottle at the Dollar Store and saw the potential answer on an end cap. The product had gotten lost in a bin. It almost ended in a sunny day disaster when going out for a ride.
Conclusion - Two products (or motors) may look alike but that does not mean they are alike. Look closely at the photo.
OK! Stop! The resulting mental pictures cannot be unseen! 😝🤮

Looks like you're prepared for a complete tranny lube! 🤣

Sort of an on topic gentle nudge away ....What is the best way to re establish a relationship with an lbs if you buy elsewhere due to current supply issues?

On Friday I sat in on a "what bike" discussion between a skin doctor and fresh young health freak doctor.

Skin doctor recently spent a significant amount of $ and bought an un Enhanced carbon everything Giant from as exceptional LBS. We both have a lot of great things to say about that Giant dealer, but sadly neither of us felt new doc should buy a modern giant Emtb. Besides, that particular dealer has several hundred people waiting on bikes at the moment!!!

New doc was trying decide between 3 similarly specced bikes from 3 different LBS' , the Merida was from a less convenient LBS that also has imperfect customer support. Not bad support, but I resent paying for BMX riders to hang around a store chatting whilst their customers wait to be served.....

Anyway, there is about $1000 Aus difference between the Merida and the others , plus the other shops have already sold this years allocation and he wants a bike now.

So young doc will be buying a Merida from a store he will almost certainly not return to. The other stores have each spent ? wasted? 20-30 mins chatting about bikes they can't supply. I suspect he will return to those stores for service / support / bling and consumable, but wandering in with another stores sales success is going to feel like lancing a boil . Surely you can't just stitch up the mess and carry on - that festering wound needs special care? Now I've heard honey is great for healing infected wounds - what's a reasonable way to sweeten the deal at the unsuccessful LBS ?

I did a red Boda as a 750W electric today and rode it to the LBS with a case of Northern California IPA bottles in the front basket. They just dropped off 15 bike boxes so I can make air scrubbers which remove wildfire smoke from indoor air.
Customer service works with suppliers too.

Seriously? You saved a few bucks and bought on Amazon. They don’t respond, now I should provide support? Nice guys finish last.
I still respond. I’m a a nice guy but that doesn’t buy dinner. One call, OK. Two calls and I still try to help. But FFS use Google. It’s easy. Now f*ck off.
I buy my cars and trucks from one set of dealers and have them serviced at other dealers. More than half the income for an auto dealership is with the sale of parts and providing repairs and servicing for vehicles. A dealer would be stupid to turn away all that business because the potential customer did not buy the car from them. And what should they do with a used vehicle that the customer bought from the original owner?

It is even crazier with e-bikes where the nearest Trek or Giant or Cannondale dealer may be a 4 hour round trip drive from ones house as it is in my situation. The only local e-bikes sold are the ones from Blix. Maybe time to get out more and open your eyes to the reality of the current situation. Even when I first started buying road bikes there were no shops in 90% of California that even sold much less serviced 10-speed bikes at all. It is much the same with regard to e-bikes at this time.

You are talking about brick-and-mortar shops that sell complete bikes and service them. The OP was talking about a purely mail order online operation that ONLY sells parts, not bikes, and does not perform service. Its different.

Why is it when I try to write transmission spellcheck corrects it to transition?
Anyway this one, speaking of service, got a three-hour warm bath in Mobile 1 and was packed with more lithium than a psycho-ward.
