I’m looking for a stable mate for my wife’s ebike and REALLY liked this until I checked the warranty:

5 years for the frame;2 years for battery; 5 months for other accessories

What’s up with that?

And my goodness, have you ever seen a warranty with this wording (cut and paste from the web site)

I got an Asurion 3 year warranty on top of what they included from Eahora, and I checked with them before I bought and they said it would be covered if I had any problems. It was like $50 on amazon.

I had read the unusual Eahora Warranty Statement and while I agree the language in the statement is strange and defensive, for me the warranty on all of these direct to consumer bargain Chinese made ebikes is a sketchy proposition at best. If good warranty support is a high priority, you should probably be looking at a B&M Bike Shop and or a major bike brand. As someone advised me when I began my search, most of the vulnerable components used in these bikes can be sourced from other companies or the manufacturer.

Since I was going to buy 3 or 4 bikes for the family, I was looking for the best performance/value option. The money I saved might go toward repairs but it was a risk I was willing to take. Even better know brands like Rad and certainly Sondors are companies operating on thin margins.

Did you carefully read the Warranty document? No matter what they said, the warranty documentation is the bottom line. There is usually wiggle room (grey areas) in 3rd party warranties so that if Eahora or whomever does not perform, they are off the hook. Even if they end up doing something, it usually is such a PITA in terms of jumping through hoops it isn't worth the effort.

Can you tell I'm not a big fan of warranties in general but especially, 3rd party warranties? They, like most contracts are written to protect the originator. ;-)

For sure! I have used and been successful with these ones before, never for an ebike granted. Hopefully I wont need to use it, bike is still going strong and Im loving it more with every use! “Knocks on wood”

With the the poor documentation received thus far, changing anything outside of the basic menu options is risky IMHO. But for those who must, noting the changes before making them is a good idea. Apparently, there is a Reset to default settings procedure as mentioned in one of the manuals but they will only give that information out if you contact Eahora directly.

What could possibly go wrong ... ;-)

To reset to default you need to hold (-) and (i) keys for 2 sec (an error is the Manual).

I got those same fenders at first and for dirt cheap they were ok, but the front fender I couldnt get to stay in place well and it interfered with the headlight. So I switched and went with the better fitted Fat Bear ones.

I got those same fenders at first and for dirt cheap they were ok, but the front fender I couldnt get to stay in place well and it interfered with the headlight. So I switched and went with the better fitted Fat Bear ones.

As you can see, mine looks fine and there is no problem. I attached it on the other side of the bar where the light is placed.

What's everyone's guess on total miles per charge just using throttle? I figured i would ask now that some of us have rode the bike in real world situations for a while now.

Went from Ridgewood, Queens in NYC to 100th St and RSD in Manhattan through the Queensborough Bridge (that's about 13 miles). And then back down to the Williamsburg Bridge (that's about 5 miles). And that's was enough. Stopped dead on electric and had to pedal all the way back. Till then, I've been using mostly throttle and there has been a lot of stops at the traffic lights. Lesson learned By the way, I've been messing up with the settings, so maybe that's it. Had to reset to default. Will see if that was the reason or something else.

Did you use just throttle the whole time? I lived in nyc (prospect heights) so i know the terrain. I get a lot more miles with throttle only on my bike. I would restore your settings back to default.

Looks like X5 and x7 sold out on site . Amazon has early May delivery from EAHORA Amazon .

I've been searching around for a smaller size frame bike for wife only to realize EAHORA throttle only is 28 max everyone else is 20 . Lectric saw you can't hack it only in PAS . After going into settings .

Just got and tried the Rattan Fat Bear fenders from Amazon and they fit perfectly! So stoked!!! Now I just need a rack haha. They were 49.99 when I got them last week but now they’re 59.99. But man so worth it if you ride in wet areas! Its like they were made for this bike

First pic you can see my hammered down/makeshift front fender that was for a 3” tire, and cheap plastic floating rear fender that was fine, but now I can get a floating rear rack in its place.

After the first 13 miles it's had shown full 5 bars, and then after another 5 miles had dropped to 3 bars and stayed that way till the end. I think it was because I've been messing with the settings. Like I said, lesson learned.
