Woom Up e-MTB for kids

https://us.woombikes.com/pages/up

24" model pitched at age 7-11 years, 26" model at 10-14, 35lb, Fazua 250w/55nm motor, smallish 250wh frame integrated battery

I can't imagine a child who is enthusiastic about bikes wanting to ride a " woom"

My kids have the luxury of a decent fleet of mountain bikes - most are bikes I've handed down as I buy something newer. I'm about to repkace my 2018 giant full e pro, and whilst the kids have been able to ride it since they were 9 yo , NONE of them want it as their main bike- too heavy . By 12 yo , enthusiastic kids want something they can toss around in the air , preferably with reasonable brakes and suspension .

That 26" would totally fit me. But it's more money than I spent on my Yamaha. o_O

It will be interesting to see if Woom allow their ebikes to be eligible for their UpCycling loyalty program, where if you buy the next size up bike within 2 years of purchase you get a refund of 40% of the msrp from the original purchase. If so a parent could be looking at paying more like six grand for 7-years (ages 7-14) of right-sized ebikes. As for the brand I’ve only heard good things about Woom children’s bikes from the two wheeling tots review site, and they have a Woom Off line of children’s MTB’s
