Two interesting data points from the bike (though not e-bike) industry:
Oveja Negra, a small manufacturer of bikepacking bags in Salida, CO, is laying off half of its staff due to displacements caused by tariffs:

It is interesting to note that mostly that is because of a total collapse of exports, not increased costs of imported components. This absolutely sucks because Oveja Negra makes absolutely excellent stuff.
Also, perspectives from a pretty established manufacturer of bicycle components in the Pacific NW:

Have you consider Trump did the world a favor with the tariff game? Why would the rest of the world want to be dependent on one country. And if they weren't dependent, why would US customers paying more for your exported crap (except maple leaf cookies are good) give all the countries hissy fits?
