What's your plan for a flat tire 10 miles from home?

Those little round green things with spikes all over them
Oh okay, I don't think we have them here in the suburbs of Philly. It looks pretty nasty.
They are the worst, so small can never see them and in Colorado they are everywhere. Once I got like 20 in each tire. Once I went to the park, parked my bike when I came out flat tire (must have rolled through it in the grass). It's also crazy how you could have, tube, Liner, slime, tire and they still will somehow get you. The spikes are sharp. I don't have to worry about them anymore though with tubeless. The sealant itself seals the tiny punctures and if it's stuck in my tire I can just pull it out and spin my tire a few times and the sealant seals the puncture instantly.

That's nothing. East of the Mississippi we don't have goathead thorns, but I did dig these out of my tires once
Oddly enough, I was riding recently with a few friends, we left a rural trail to cut through a very small village, rolled around a blind curve and a herd of ~20 goats were blocking the road. Bahhhhhhh. Fortunately none of 'em flattened my tires.
Oh and SNAP.
I went biking today and my son's bike got a flat tire.... it was kinda my fault. We biked past a bicycle station and I thought I'd take the opportunity to add some air to his tire.... somehow I think i destroyed the valve. So, he got a flat tire 6 miles from home. (My, wife, and two sons. One son riding bike, one son in a bike seat).
1) Went to Target, bought a mini-pump, to see if I'd have more luck with it. I didn't. (we were near a target, so it was an easy try)
2) Had wife go to park with kids.
3) Rode my bike home and got car
4) Brought car to wife and put broken bike in it
5) Rode wife's bike home.
Long day.

Finally happened to our mini non-ebike crew. Had a new friend join us and half a mile in, he got a flat.
So he told us to go without him and he'll figure it out.
The guy is resourceful, he drove to a hardware store, bought tape and glue and fixed his flat by the time we got back. Another person asked to borrow our pump and it turns out they had a flat also... and he fixed theirs too.
So... he's invited on all our rides now.

Always good to have a MacGyver on your rides!
I've been riding around like this in my tubeless Maxxis Minion for some time now with zero issues. I didn't even know it was there until a few days ago when I picked up the bike from the shop and I've been riding hard going off road and everything. I just pulled them out today and not a dot of sealant or a hiss of air came out. These Maxxis just keep impressing me.

I'm not so sure. It looks like one of them did penetrate as I only see one of the two coming out the other side of the knob.
Yes I have sealant I'm running tubeless
Just wanted to let you guys know tires arent the only thing you may have to worry about if you're 10+ miles away from home! I had to walk my bike back the other day from losing all battery power due to this but, at least it wasn't a flat tire tire! Lol

That's a good reminder. Do you have AAA? Also, any comment on how it broke? Did you bump it? Or jump a curb?
I have AAA but I wasnt too far. It didn't break it melted!! Not really sure people are saying that it's caused by a "loose connection" I have no idea about electrical stuff. I had not taken the battery out/off the bike for probably a year. So I am going to start taking it out and reconnecting more frequently (once I get it fixed!) maybe that will help. People are saying a loose connection and it wiggling around can do it. Sounds like a manufacturer defect or lack of oversight if you ask me! Just got my bike back from it being in the shop for a month waiting on the front brake and now this! Time for a new bike! Still no response from Juiced either! But I have tracked down the parts from China and a local ebike guy with electrical experience that will be taking apart my battery and charge ports to fix this problem. Yay!!
That looks way worse than a flat tire which isn't hard to repair. That looks like a new battery and new battery mount.
Yeah no crap, it's way worst! The battery still works it's the connectors that need to be changed. Still a pain in the ass! Time for a new bike!
