Wanted: light ebike with throttle

Hello, I'm new to ebikes, and am looking for some recommendations!

I'm looking for an e bike that:

• is lightweight (preferably 30lbs or less)
• is stealthy looking
• has 3 bike modes (manual, pedal assist, and throttle)
• is suitable for someone who is 5'4
• has a kickstand
• has suspension
• can be shipped/picked up in the US

Some nice to haves are:

• removable battery
• foldable
• bright colors

I'm hoping to find something less than $2,000, but depending on the features may consider up to $5,000!

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Sorry you won’t find an ebike that meets all your needs, if weight is the most important factor one suggestion might be the Qualisports Volador (40lb, 7-speed, 250wh battery, class 2 with throttle) with the battery in the seatpost. Another lightweight class 2 is the Aventon Soltera step-through (43lb, 7-speed option, 350wh battery, class 2 with throttle)

if you really want something in the 30lb range, you’ll have to forgo the throttle and suspension.

there are lots of bikes with the x35 drive system in that weight range, and also the specialized creo SL. you won’t find any bikes with those drive systems that have real suspension and throttle, afaik. Which features do you want more?

Ok I see, thanks for the info! What do you think would be the lightest bike that has the throttle and suspension? I saw the Rize Fixie which seemed pretty good (34 lbs, with suspension, and throttle), but the issue is, its for 5'6 - 6'2. I'm too short to ride

But i'd be open to looking at either variations (lightweight, with throttle, no suspension or a little heavier up to 40lbs, with throttle and suspension) if the full combo doesn't exist.

Not that I’m aware, your options might include: take it with you, or a saddle leash, or possibly a Pitlock 60mm skewer however Court measured the Qualisports seatpost at 56mm but the standard Pitlock clamp is only 40mm so you might need to get a 56mm Pitlock compatible seatpost clamp made for you either by Pitlock or a machine shop.

You’re on to something here, although you don’t need to spend that much to keep a throttle, Consider a lightweight racing or aluminum frame step-through pedal bike in a size that fits, and fit a DIY ebike kit motor with a bottle battery or a saddle bag containing three of Grin Tech’s 100wh lightweight modular LiGo batteries and throttle on the drop bars or by your thumb if a flat bar. You could definitely do this to get something weighing around 40lb. Consider alternatives to a suspension fork such as a seatpost suspension, sprung saddle, and/or Kinekt suspension stem.

The live intrigue is for women, full suspension, yamaha motor can be pedaled unpowered without drag, 15" frame available, no throttle but torque sensing, 53 lb.

I looked at cannondale. They a 40 lb hubmotor carbon fiber bike but it was too big for you..
The orbea myo vibe looks like a possible with a hub motor, but they won't tell me anything about it. https://www.orbea.com/us-en/myo/ebikes hub motors usually have throttles. The rise has a full suspension, again, they only want to send you to a dealer Orbeas are usually light. You probably want a 15" frame and standover lowest seat height of 31" or so.

You may not need suspension. A good suspension seat post can really help smooth the ride.
