Uart Motor

Ok Guys
I now have a Uart motor, Ultra 1000W/ 620/510 motor,
I plan on reprograming it to my needs for cow trail riding etc.

But first, I have to buy all the required other items like, Display, main connection cables, throttle etc.
1. Uart motor (have),
2. Uart programmable display- (pending) (UART Display, DPC-18 or 500C)?
This display must have a USB port/head light connection,
3. Main connection cable to fit all the above (pending), NOT NEEDED/2 batteries,
have to use OEM harness.
4. What else am I missing ??

What is a good display that is UART "programmable" (this would be for a Ultra 1000W/ 620/510 motor), and provide all the same setting/programs of the canbus model DPC-18 display.

Your suggestions and thoughts, would be appreciated,
Don

As far as what display, I like the 750C. Point being, what display is your call! Take your pick, making your decision based on whatever criteria you like!

On top of that, you'll need at least one more cable, the main one. This one looks like it might work:

Just for clarification... There are 2 so called 860c displays out now. A New one that sometimes does not have the P prefix in its description.
I was referring to the older 860c

Then there's these...

Do your homework as not all have all options like being able to select 3 - 5 - 9 PAS settings

Thanks Guys
The question I have is,
my original Display (DPC-18) has 5 Eco and 5 sport settings,
the DPC-181 display has 0-3, 0-5, 0-9 settings and Blue tooth (what ever that is ?)

Would the DPC -181 display settings be the same as the OEM display,
and is this (181 display Uart programable, I must have USB and thumb throttle, headlight connections, out of all the above listed displays,
there is only 4 that would work for me.

Hey Guys
Is it really necessary to have this Blue tooth capabilities for a display,
at $40+ funds, as compare to the standard Dpc-18,
it better find it's way home.........LOL.

Bluetooth works with the Bafang App which seems to have poor reviews now.
Don't know if you are interested in that or if they will improve the app
So my answer is Tuesday 7pm/§ 🙃

Do be carful. My buddy is out in the boonies at this moment waiting for AAA to pick him up. He has a broken chain on his kilowatt bike with a throttle. It has standard programing. This is his second chain and cassette. Today he will get his third. The first set lasted one month. He is 300 pounds and uses his throttle on major climbs. He put a class 1 sticker on it because to him it is a first class bike at 1000 Watts.

I think I'll kiss it, "Keep it simple stupid", that $40 will buy me more items I need for the bike.
Tia,

I have that base covered, I think, I bust a chain,
I carry an extra chain and several quick links, and tools.
I'll just shorten the chain up to have a single speed to what gear I need,
to get me back outs the pucker brush and back to the home base....

Your Buddy needs to carry a extra chain/links/chain breaker tool and just shorten it up to get out.
Lot cheaper than AAA, Imho.

Tia,
Don

I have to wonder how/what he's doing to break chains like that. I KNOW there are several regulars that are his size on throttle equipped 1+kw bikes that aren't having any trouble at all.

I'm still confused on UART VS CANBUS.
I was told CANBUS is factory turning. Uart is for personal preference?
I would rather have factory turned.
UART is able to be tuned by it's owner/rider. CANbus is factory programmed and locked. Not adjustable by anyone. Not you, not the dealer, not the bike manf.

If you had a chance to ride both, especially if you had a chance to ride one with the Frey "Smooth" tune, I doubt very seriously you would prefer the "factory tuned".

My buddy is not mechanically inclined and does not apply lube or check the wear. The quick link was the weak link while down shifting under load. He heard clicking when it loosened but did not stop. Now it is jammed behind the chainring and against the frame. It takes force to do that.

Those guys are using quality cogs. Tourney freewheel on this Sondors is made from soft cheese it is what wore the chain as the space between teeth grew. This is where he was riding. For a 360 use Google Maps and put in 1000 Wilson Hill Rd. Petaluma. Street view.
