I recently saw an EBR review of the Malibu E-bike and it appeared as if the thumb throttle allowed really good low-speed control. My Aventon Level (which is apparently designed mainly for speed freaks) e-bike's thumb throttle travels about 1/3 of its range before it does anything and the SLOWEST I can operate the bike seems to be around 12mph. I probably should have bought a Class 2 bike. Is it possible to replace one's thumb throttle with a more sensitive one? On my Level the thumb throttle appears to be pluggable into its cable. Can anybody suggest a plug-compatible replacement from a manufacturer? Thanks in advance for the help.
