* YAWN * The crackpot Dave linked to post (#1823, the Steve Kirsch link) is both cherry-picked and a complete misrepresentation of what the UK report actually said. Hey, I smoked weed for 40 years and dropped acid over 200 times, and if I can follow this, anyone else can if they have any brain cells left whatsoever.

This is the same error as with previous claims of this nature.

No it isn't. It's a different puzzle.
I think maybe you should smoke more and write less nonsense.

It does not take into account the fact that there are more vaccinated people within that sample of 100,000 than unvaccinated people. So of course you will see a higher number of infections, hospitalizations, and deaths per 100,000 people among vaccinated people.
It's not about that.

It's better than the holy card from the nuns,

I know, I know... but these guys aren't blocked on my phone, just my laptop, so I do see their posts occasionally. For me, "Hide" means "I only read and respond to your posts when I'm on the commode." (Voltman just earned himself a place in this special society!)

I don't need to be right about this, guys, it's not a contest, I just don't want y'all to get sick, okay? Voltmann won't be getting sick any time soon, probably, he's triple vaxed and masked up, so I have no idea what dog he has in this fight.

Handlebars seems to understand what I'm saying, and actually engaged with the numbers, but is not believing me. He's not an idiot, and neither is Voltman. Dave... uh, whatever. Anyway...

YES, I am virtually certain the posts referenced by the antivax disinfo/propaganda sites referenced by Dave refer to death rate per 100,000 people of any kind, not the people within each group.

There are studies that look at the rate of unvaccinated COVID-19 deaths within each group calculated per 100,000 in England-- but they specify that this is the number they are looking at, e.g.: "Death rates are calculated as the number of deaths in each group, divided by the total number of people in this group. This is given per 100,000 people."

Here's what that graph looks like for 10 months in England:

Here is what it looks like for a shorter time period, about six months:

The other misleading statistic is the one from Berenson about the "10-59" year age group in Britain. Here's something you'll notice right away if you read a lot of research: Select a weird sample, you get weird results.

In this case, "the vaccinated subset of the 10-59yr are MUCH older, not at all comparable to the unvaccinated 10-59." Makes sense: Older people are more likely to get vaccinated because they are more at risk, and older people are much more likely to die, obviously. (Except for me.) (Just kidding.)

Hey 👋. We have plenty people died beginning 2020
All those dead body count are covid 19 deaths
We are still counting.
I'm wondering where the dead are dying. The daily charts I'm reading for Toronto show latest update 19 deaths but only 1 of those deaths was from those on ventilator. So are these people all dying at home or long term care home or in the hospital ICU but not on ventilator? How do 19 people die but only one was on ventilator?

I left this thread alone for a month ... and /way offtopic / may have happened again. ;)

As far as weather , I just spent over a month traveling thousands of miles west and back in a campervan.

Wierd Weather report from coast to coast.

1. Tornado just missed us in Tennessee, we spent the night in a motel, and all I had to do was grey tape a broken window on the van on the way out. I took a more southern route through Texas than the planned route to Arizona. No Katy trail, so no long rides.
2. Phoenix is usually still warm and dry in January. We stayed a couple weeks and it seemed like it rained or got too cold to be outside everyday.
I took one longer ride in town around the lake parkway on a rare nice day, but I needed both a coat and an umbrella to tour the Tallisin, the Frank Loyd Wright architecture school in the Arizonia desert . Surrounded by cactus and sand, and it's raining.
3. On the way back I spent 4 days outrunning the snow storm from Texas all the way back to Pennsylvania. No riding bikes or tourist stuff, and I still only beat it by a few hours.

As I may have mentioned in post number one,

Hey, I thought we were doing great on page 91...

But 92 and 93 probed me dead wrong.

Man, are we glad to see you! Glad you made it home safe. Sorry about the Tornado and storm running.

Here, it's just the damn fog every morning-- London in Los Angeles.

The trip was mostly uneventful, but really tense.
it's the longest distance west I've ever driven, in the longest vehicle I have ever driven, and was the longest winter camping trip I have ever taken. What could go wrong?

The list would be the longest I've ever written 🤣
Welcome back!

Freedom of information request shows average age of covid killed in UK is 82.5 years old. Relax, guys. You're all freaked out by phony stats.

Welcome back!
I took off on a trip in September, no bike, and thought it was going smoothly. My fridge turned off a couple of times but not long enough to spoil anything. On the way home, in Idaho, it quit working on propane for good. Something had to go wrong, I guess. It will be a spendy repair if parts can be found. Oh well, we get these things to be used.

Nuclear, clean coal, & clean diesel. Great for the planet but the oceans will still get warmer from the earth’s center convecting heat to the surface.

Anyways I’m always filling it up for the future thanks to Rudolf Diesel and Bavarian Motor Works:

Diesel is about as clean as coal, ever here of nanoparticles? The "Tories" are not banning these things for fun, next time power out roll down the window and heat the garage with it.

Adventure plus plus!

Yamamoto was the greatest Japanese admiral of WW2. Easily the most interesting military man of WW2…and probably the most conflicted. In the 30s he was targeted by the right wing in Japan. Later he was assigned to plan the attack on Pearl Harbor which he did but warned Tojo “You are waking a sleeping giant”. He spent years living in America and spoke English. Much more about him in Toll’s trilogy on the Pacific war.

Thank you Mulezen.

Thank you Mulezen.
I watch quite a bit of American Hero's channel and there are many segments on Pearl Harbor however most of the history is from the American pov. It seems I get most of my war and conflict history from TV-I didn't pay much attention or wasn't interested back in HS and College. If I couldn't name Yamamoto I'm certainly no candidate for Jeopardy!!
