Switch in battery compartment

Hey Guys
While I was removing the battery and cleaning up some mud, from my Wart Hog MD 750 bike,
I found a small switch that can be moved, either up or down,
this switch is located next to the sliding battery lock, it is triangle shaped,
and moves up or down, very defiant click etc.

Anyone one know what this switch is used for?

Strike 1, ...LOL
Just checked, I only have one battery which is charged up.
Checked the switch in both directions and there is NO difference,
the bike powers up and works etc, regardless which direction is switched..
in either the top or bottom location.

does nothing and has no electrical connection etc. It just clicks up and down,
unknown why or what it does.

Well if no wires are connected to it... It isn't possible for it to have a function
