Hey guys .Just recently received my Volt 750 here in Kelowna B.C.. I just love the bike. Except for the left side crank arm was not rite from day one. I was extremely careful not to crossthread the pedal .As ive seen that scenario more than once. But sadly a few days ago .I felt that wobble you get when a pedal isnt spinning true. Sure enough I got home. Touched the pedal and it basically fell out. There was barely anything left of the thred insert in the crankarm. Ive been wrenching long as I can remember. Have replaced numerous bottom brackets. Countless old crankarms. But this thing is rediculous. Is there some "hey dummy" set screw im missing. II sprayed lubricant in there. Gone up underneath the bottom bracket and have her more than a couple good wacks with a crowbar and hammer. The darn thing just laughed at me. Oh and no I dont have a puller. I guess im gonna have to make one.Ugh!
Any tricks or tips would be appreciated. I just finished getting everything put back on. After spraying a two stage automotive clearcoat on tbe flat white paint. So im trying to avoid laying her over on its side. Crawling up onto it and going postal with a bigger hammer. But I was almost there.lol
Thanks guys
(Pedal in pic is just sitting in there
