The Supernova M99 Pro and the matching tail-light with the STOP indicator have been designed as automotive grade lights to be used on Euro
L1e-B 45 km/h "mopeds". As such, these require matching connectors at the e-bike motor, and possibly brake levers with STOP indicator switches. (An
L1e-B motor also has connectors for a horn and all related switches).
The appropriate connectors can be found on two motor types: Bosch Speed and
Specialized 1.2s/Brose TF. While Bosch E-Bike Speed e-bikes may be fitted with the Supernova lights and be fed from the system, it is not possible for any other motors including Class 1 Gazelles.
By chance, my Vado 6.0 is factory equipped with both Specialized 1.2s motor and Supernova lighting (this e-bike has been discontinued). Interestingly, the 2022 Trek Allant+ 9.9
s had Supernova lighting but the 2023 Allant+ 9
s came with a way cheaper lights, TREK cutting corners...
