Thanks for this deep dive into step-thru offerings, @Dewey ! Interesting to see all the designs.

Ebikes seem to attract a lot of odd make and model names -- many clearly just made-up words designed to be catchy or distinctive, or to evoke a certain positive feeling about the product. Of course, that's Branding 101, and auto and drug manufacturers have become masters at it. Still, it seems to have gone to a new level just in the step-throughs posted here.

What should we call this one? It is a prototype with an extra heavy duty cargo motor, intended for fleet use around town.

Onto finding out how small is that small frame :)
Hard to understand how "Stormtrekker" got past Giant's branding consultant.

You need to think about the adjectives or qualities you want to highlight. Is it the strength? Call it the Percheron, Carabao, Locomotive, Clipper etc. The speed? maybe the Swift, Mercury, etc. The handiness or efficacy? How about the Arriva, Exporter, Advancer, Advantager? What are its intrinsic qualities? Work from there. The Thesaurus is your friend ;)

I actually like Specialized's names, such as Butcher for aggressive MTB tyres, Rib Cage for a water-bottle-cage or Demo for a downhill bike :) (Many more of funny names there!)
Schwalbe is great with inventing the names for their tyres, such as Smart Sam, Magic Mary, Al Mighty or Johnny Watts. They are so suggestive!
