SRAM GX Eagle Gripshift - suitable for eBikes?

I’ve ordered a 12 speed Gx Gripshift for my Cube as I’m getting a lot of arthritic thumb pain using the trigger shifts but I just realised that none of SRAM’s grip shifts mention that they are suitable for eBikes. All the trigger shifters seem to have ebike specific variants!
Is there any reason that they wouldn’t work with an ebike?

I certainly don't see why not and it should alleviate your problem nicely. I have been using a 10spd grip shifter on my eMtb for over three years. To be honest I never really liked grip shift bitd but have come to prefer it.
