Dolphindiver here. I'm new to this forum and figuring out how to communicate on this site. But here goes. I have a 2014 Neo Race that I started modifying from the first day I purchased it. I first installed carbon drop bars and eliminated the throttle. Put all Dura Ace running gear and Carbon tubular front wheel, super light Selle Italia carbon railed saddle, etc., etc.. Weight is now down to 35lbs. 3ozs. My query now is can anyone clue me in on the feasibility of installing a 48 volt Nitro battery in an effort to gain more top speed? It seems like quite an investment but if one could go 27 or 28 mph. on level pavement, then it would definitely be worth it to me. I have the new 12amp. hour 36 volt battery and due to the efficiency of the bike and my expertise at always being in the right gear for the situation, I have more range than I really need for most situations. I recently completed a 54 mi. ride in the hills of East Tennessee and still had one bar left while riding in Normal mode. Therefore even though range will suffer, a modest increase in cruising speed would be desirable. Please advise.
