Well, it pains me greatly to list this, but what a waste if it spends another summer in the basement. What we have here is a 2016 Pedego City Commuter, bought new in August 2016, with 135 miles on it.
That’s right, 135. I bought this for my wife in the hopes that she would get hooked and enjoy going riding with me once in a while. Didn’t happen. The bike simply intimidates her and she was only going out to shut me up a few times each summer. So it just isn’t her thing, and it’s as simple as that.
26 inch model, low step, never even seen rain much less anything worse. It cost us $3200. It needs a good home where it will get ridden, and I’ll price it at $1600 since it is almost two years old… but again, the freaking thing is virtually brand new. Small scratch at the brake cable connection on the right side handlebar and a corresponding scuff on the fork from where it attacked her the last time she rode it (she stopped on a hillside and it tipped over on her). That was the ballgame! It has sat ever since other than me riding it around the neighborhood periodically to check the tires and just get its blood pumping.
We are near Saratoga Springs, NY, and l will consider delivering it anywhere within 100 miles that might have a bike path I can go ride on after the transaction. Gotta get something out of this! Selling it in the forum here would be far more satisfying than some random Craigslist deal.
All kidding aside, it’s a damn nice Pedego. My own tastes run to mid drives as the regulars here know, but a lot of people really love and swear by these things, and this one is a beauty.
