So...whats this hole for?

The one above the axle?
Foot peg...maybe spools for a rear swing arm motorcycle lift. I'm thinking it must be one of those. Also are they all a universal sized shaft, or bolt to fit?
I bought a small rear lift that hooks under the swing arm and was wondering if I should add those spools for a more stable lift...plus they come in anodized red..as well as other colors..

what about a torque arm hole to address higher powered hub motors and transfer the force away from the dropout? just a guess.

i think they were attempting to be funny about the title “so, what’s this hole for.” being provocative.

To me that back part looks welded on, so I imagine it also goes on another bike and is used to hold something else. But it looks pretty solid like you could mount something there if you wanted to.
