talked to one of the gofers on the tv show for this shoot. they had to put their own graffiti on the building as no one came by in time though after the shoot it got covered. also this phone booth got stolen and they found it a few blocks later torn apart. I was hoping to see the filming but it happened friday night.

How lovely yellow is! It stands for the sun.

Lucky dog, you're living my favorite Van Gogh — Wheatfield with Crows

Yellow takes over SoCal in the spring — thanks mainly to wild crown daisies and mustard. You begin to wonder if yellow will take over the world.

June 20th officially marked Yellow Day but the canola here hadn’t begun displaying any hint of color or vibrancy. It would have been fortuitous if the timing of the two events coincided. The green field on the east side of the road is wheat but still in the early stages of development. However, it won’t be long before we’ll be riding alongside those familiar golden stalks. Will keep my eye out for crows. 👍

went down to the river to cool off. it was 98 degrees so it was good timing. only 6.5 miles so not bad. when we tried it at 113 degrees it about did us in. the side we are on is so crowded with the rich. no one was around and it's a nice gravel path along the river. Crap I just noticed we had matched jerseys. they were not planned. and I hate it when people say we are so cute. uug.

From this morning’s 40km ride looking west with a view of abundant farm fields together with parkland form a familiar look to our local prairie landscape.

More local traffic.

I slowed down enough to have a chat with this fit fellow whose name I only know as ‘Brian’. We see him riding every day along the same stretches of road but usually on his fatbike. For the past week he’s chosen instead to try out an ebike that belonged to his brother. Daymak isn’t a brand that I’m familiar with but it did appear to have a throttle.

Enjoying the ride while others work behind the scenes busily cutting silage.
