Actually, they are Webworms:

Webworms are far less destructive than tent caterpillars. Webworms limit their damage to a single branch or tree whereas tent caterpillars, like gypsy moth caterpillars, can defoliate an entire forest.

Unfortunately, we have all three in my neck of the woods.

The other day I went for a random ride around North Surrey. I followed the Greenway under/around the Skytrain line.





There are lots of hills in the area, and the Fathom knocked them all down with ease.
Here's a look across the Fraser river under the power lines.

Nice day in NH went for 29 mile ride. Went to Bow NH. The mirror had a free sign on it at the end of a drive way.

I rode by our 8 year old grandson Ira's school when it let out this afternoon. The school is about a mile and a half down the road from our house. We rode home together. What a great feeling. Hoping this is the first of many rides together.

Went for a ride with Ira's dad the day before yesterday. Our son, Julian, is 6'6" and probably needs a big and tall bike. I think he kind of dwarfs this one.

This is on Lummi Shore Rd. on the west side of Bellingham Bay, looking back east at the town with Mt. Baker (10,700 ') just 25 miles inland.

A little windy today but I managed a very enjoyable 70 miles, 35 miles of tailwind and 35 miles of headwind! After 35 miles of tailwind I had 77% battery left, the 20mph headwind soon ate that up and 5 miles from home my battery dropped to 8% So I turned the assist off and saved it for the 2 climbs of 10% near home, the second of which was into the headwind so it was a wise move My 2019 total is now 2,484 miles from 41 rides, average distance of 60.58 miles which I'm very happy with

Decided to go over the Alex Fraser Bridge the other day... cuz it's there... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Heading down the north side of the bridge was exhilarating... until I came across a sign post that took up over 50% of the walkway. Hydraulic brakes rock! There was some rubber laid down.

Nice day in NH temp in upper 60 lower 70. Went out to New Boston NH. Went on the short rail trail started at Lang Station end and ended at the fair grounds. The scenic pictures on Wilson Hill Rd do not do the view justice.

Congratulations David. What an impressive way to break in your new bike! The Homage is such a great ride!

It rained a few days this past month so I came up a bit short in August with 885 miles. I did bust through 100,000 total miles since recording with the Nyon. Add in approximately 1,600 for a total of 101,700 since I started riding an ebike in February of 2018. My car is feeling very neglected.

I know your Connecticut winters are more restrictive for bike riding than ours in coastal Washington. I have learned quite a bit about how to layer up for comfortable cold weather riding. Happy to chat about that if you want to start a private conversation.

To close out August I arranged a 60 mile ride with my wife Marji and her sister Bev. They rode our original Magnum Metro bikes. Marji still loves her Magnum. The range of the Magnums is about 40 miles so we rode to Bev's house about 25 miles away and charged the bikes while we had lunch and swam. She lives on Coventry lake. The remaining 35 miles we toured the area both Marji and I grew up in but had not biked in. It was very nostalgic. A lot of changes over the years.

Beautiful old barn still being used. Not many farms are still working.

Nice day here in NH temp in upper 60's. The road was closed to car traffic I walked my bike around the barrier. A culvert pipe needs to be rebuilt.
