Some people had mentioned the new-ish trail at Tahoe near Incline Village and I finally got a chance to spend a week up there. Loved it. Amazing views, great little trail.

Today I had a truly epic ride in glorious Scottish sunshine The mercury hit 28C which is very unusual for here, so I didn't quite manage my 100 miler I was hoping for but just over 84 miles so I'm more than happy with that I was experimenting a little today by using my lower gears more with just eco mode and spinning more and I got home with 21% battery left, not bad considering the distance and over 5000ft of climbing! My total for 2019 is now 2,414 miles from 40 rides which is an average mileage of 60.35 miles!

@RabH , you do admirable and awesome looking rides as an every day, common occurrence. Your routes, maps and photos should be compiled into a guide book for bike riding in central Scotland. @David Berry has a rival for substantial, interesting, eye-candy content in this forum.

Wonderful biking weekend in Connecticut. Perfect weather.

Started the weekend a bit early with a 30 mile ride to Chaplin with my sister-in-law.

On Saturday we were joined by Marji on a 37 mile ride to the West Thompson Dam in the northeast corner of the state. Most of the ride was in Woodstock, Connecticut. A town with beautiful roads both paved and gravel.

Finally today we rode to Coventry Connecticut to have lunch with a friend on Coventry lake. A 43 mile round trip.

A bridge was out on the route but we were able to wade through the stream. Luckily its August and the water is low!

My 'local' ride from home. Weather has been absolutely miserable of late so it was nice to get a reasonable winter's day with some spare time on my hands to go for a ride. It's just over a 30km ride.

Had a call yesterday afternoon from a friend who wanted help with removing the wooden front on a balcony. I said - Fine I’ll come over right away - because I couldn’t decide anyway what to do or where to ride yesterday.
Short ride ( 11km) north to her house and then after work was completed and being treated with cheese pie and also blueberry pie and coffe I took a longer way home.
No big acheivement, I did about 32-34km in all.

After the morning ride, I swung by our local Saturday farmer's market to pick up some fresh greens and veggies for the comming week. I have retrofitted my 2019 Homage with the custom walnut fenders I had made last year, changed out the saddle for a Brooks B17 and swapped the grips for the cork version, giving some relief from the rather severe Teutonic color scheme of the Homage. I think the wood, leather and cork give the bike some much needed warmth of appearance. Besides the wood fenders, need far less adjustment and are so much quieter than the plastic SKS OEM fenders. Why did I wait so long. It so nice to have a quieter bike.

Had a really nice ride along the Yarrowee River Trail today. Funny thing is, it's been there for years and I never knew what a little gem it is.

today another 101km. I met a woman with 2500km on her EVO step-thru(not sure of the model). She told me she had never had a problem with it and was completely satisfied.Well done Evo. I shelled out $2200 for car repairs today. I keep wishing I could somehow have put that money towards more E-bikes even though I know you can only ride one Ebike at a time. I need to clone myself so I can get more riding done.

Explored a new road in Sturbridge, Massachusetts called Lead Mine Road It is named after a graphite mine site that was originally mined by Native Americans to make ceremonial paints then on and off until 1911 for pencil lead. The gated mine still exists and a trail to it is maintained by the town. The road was a bit more challenging than I expected with about 5 of these large "puddles" across it. Nice area though.
