A ~65-mile ride in the Viroqua, WI area; about 3/4 of the route was gravel. Appx. 4,200 ft of climbing.

My nephews are quite loyal to John Deere farm equipment so I had to take a photo by this county road grader.

This was, of course, NOT a problem for the Turbo Vado. 🤣

I’ve done this loop on a non e-bike as well. Gotta say, that ‘lectric motor is pretty nice!!

Many years ago I lived in Onalaska, worked in LaCrosse for 1 year. I was no stranger to cold winters but that area took it to a whole new level. Weeks on end with high temps below 0 and lows 30-40 below with wind chill of 70+ below. Beautiful country but I didn't stay long.

I can completely understand. My wife and I spent ten years in Arizona before moving back to the Midwest….not a big fan of the winters for sure.

Pics of newly installed bollards on a new bike path , if you zoom in it is still wrap in plastic. 40 inches tall . It will be the standard height.
Crew of tree trimmers alongside the path getting busy
I think a Pablo Picasso painting, don't ask me what's it called.

That’s quite the spiffy boot dryer. I had one years ago that I fabricated out of PVC pipe/elbows and hooked it up to a hair dryer for purposes of drying out kayaking gear. It ended up getting shelved as my better half was always wondering why her hair appliance kept disappearing. 😆
Great minds think alike. But I simply got a hair dryer from Goodwill, so no domestic clashes. Used to dry neoprene booties.

a short trip to check that my new mirror was in the right position ..
😁
dont know how i managed without one ... i forgot to take a drink today
😧
so i had to stop at Eppleby for a coffee + scone

there is a Bridleway in here some where lol
The "cattle guards" at the gate in your second photo remind me of a local politician who, some years ago, wondered why the state was paying for cattle guards. "Let the farmers hire their own guards," he said.

It’s greening up nicely for spring here, and I’m getting out more for daily rides usually in the 30 km range. Turned over 11,000 km this past week. Also got my sailboat launched so will be spending some time on that. It’s a good base for bike riding 100 km up the shore of Lake Huron from where I live though.

Spent a great a day cycling around Banff National Park.

Scenic drone shots taken from above the Old Camp pullout along the lesser-known Hwy 1A. The images were shot a day before while driving in our car towards Cochrane, AB for an overnight stay before heading off to Banff.

Amazing resolution on those drone photos. Mind sharing your setup info ??

I’ve been using a stock out-of-the-box DJI mini 2 which is under the 250g max weight allowable for non-restricted rec drones in Canada. I always have the camera set at 4K 24fps. I’m definitely not a pro when it comes to photo/videography so I usually leave it on auto but switching to manual setting will allow one to control shutter speed, white balance, etc… to further tweak/enhance the resolution of the final product. I also use ND filters which really help with over exposure during sunny conditions. It’s akin to putting sunglasses on. I’m still pretty much a novice and still working on user technique but I do find that keeping it in cine mode during flight as opposed to normal/sport setting will result in ultra smooth motion such as when performing banked turns or simply moving the drone slowly forward is vital during the recording process to obtain quality pro-like footage. Normal or sport modes will allow you to turn the drone around, move forward or return back in a much quicker fashion if required. Single frame shots such as the first two images can be further enhanced with any photo editor. There are plenty of online video tutorials out there that will help those (such as me) who have never operated a drone before to get started on the right foot. I also found that practicing in an open field at lower altitude helped me to gain confidence and improve my handling skills. Just a word of caution, check for restricted air space before you decide to launch

Here are a couple of more images I extracted from footage earlier this spring.
