Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

As a Canuck, I agree.

I will add this though. During the last General Election. The BBC decided to cover it every evening at 6.30pm half hour programme presented from DC by Katy Kay. It ran from the Summer months up to inauguration day. So many folks (like me) were so fascinated the Beeb decided to extend the programme, calling it "1st 100 Days" And that was going to be it. Again so much 'difference' happened under Trump, during those first 3 months. The BBC decided to stay with it. The programme now called "Beyond 100 Days" is still going strong and now covering November's election and everything that has happened since. As for me? Well I have the recorder set from Mon to Thursday (6.30pm) I don't think I could be surprised anymore?

Ps. I now have a subscription to the Wash Post. I find US politics sooooooooo different to our Parliamentary system. And the characters involved.

Hmmmm, I'm being lazy and weak waiting for the temps to get into the 30 degree range. Then I will go for a walk. Might go for a ride when 40 degrees is reached. I looked up the 10 day forecast and see shorts wearing weather is predicted for next week. That would be 50 degree weather. Can't wait!

Had to work last night, but the weather was perfect so I managed to squeeze in a longer western Loudoun ride beforehand.

Heading west near Philomont:

Mt Weather in the distance:

Machinery!

Windswept.

When riding new roads, I occasionally wonder if I've accidentally turned into someones driveway.

Hadn't ridden this road before and didn't anticipate this crossing. Had to ditch my shoes and socks and shoulder the bike across. Brrrr!

2 weeks since my last ride due to the lovely storms we are getting here, when I woke I thought it was going to be another one of those days as it was still very windy and sleet and snow showers were pretty frequent! I had another look at the weather forecast and all 3 weather services were showing an improving picture from around 2pm, with a strong 25mph (gusting to 45) westerly which they said would reduce to around 20mph (no more strong gusts) after 2pm so I decided to set off in an easterly direction at 12.45pm which should get me to my turning point sometime after 2pm!

I reached my turning point after 2pm and turned into the strong headwind with an average speed of almost 19mph (by the time I got home it decreased to 15.4mph) and I knew I was too early as the gusts were still around 40mph, I still had 75% left on my battery so I switched to level 2 assist to fight the winds! I could see some dark clouds in the distance which looked a bit ominous and then the hail arrived, it was so painful but thankfully it didn't last long and turned to a light drizzle!

The wind was still relentless but I was making good progress and finally the drizzle abated and the wind stopped gusting, that was a welcome relief! Another 50 miler in the bag and despite the wind and hail it was so good to get back out there, now bring on Spring please ;)

Rab, I so admire your Scottish tenacity. 104 miles for me (all inside a warm snooker room) love the pics.

I just love cycling and if I don't go out when the weather is inclement I would never get out much in Scotland ;) At least you have your snooker to keep you occupied, at this time of year its good to have an indoor passion:)

@Stefan Mikes I'm probably more crazy than hardcore, you sure give me a run for my money with your extreme rides;)

We certainly both share the passion for cycling @RabH. Let us be honest: This winter is exceptionally warm; the winds however strong here are no match for the Scottish ones; and we had no sleet this year (yet). The more I admire your feat!

My motivation is twofold:
1. Ride or die - the health reasons force me to cycling almost every day. Any day not ridden is a step towards my coffin.
2. I don't want to look like a fool to my friends buying two e-bikes last year, spending good money on winter clothing and then letting the bikes rest in the garage :)
And yes, I do love cycling.

@Jaxx are you watching what I'm watching right now, the Shoot-Out?

Indeed I am, not one of my favourite events. I'm busy this coming week playing in a pro-am tournament. Give me the peace of a "proper" snooker match. Not this roudy shennanigan. Still it's kind of snooker!

No better motivation :)
