Thanks for the tip. I'm tearing down a 10 x 13 tractor shed built 71 years ago with oak and pine lumber salvaged from a 19th-century barn. I pull nails out of each board as I remove it so I won't have to cut or pull nails out of my pants later. Your tool looks better for the purpose than the ones I've been using. I ordered one.

I haven't read through this thread from start to finish, so maybe some of these have already been posted. If so, I apologize. Here are a few bike related tools that I've used a lot over the years that you may not be familiar with.

On the left is a set of KMC Missing Link *installation* pliers. They are the opposite of the removal pliers, which are a lot more common. It stretches the chain around the Missing Link so that it is installed properly.

Center top is a set of Zipp valve core tools. They are used to swap out valve cores for tubes with removable cores. This is typically done when installing valve stem extensions.

Center bottom is a set of Shimano Ultegra spoke wrenches. You can use a standard spoke wrench with these wheels, but these are specially made for Ultegra wheels, and grap the spoke nipple better.

On the right is a set of surgeon's alligator forceps. I've used these so many times for so many things, I've lost count. The last time I used them, I had to remove a broken key out of a lock cylinder.

It took me a while to figure out that my bike, which has 55-622 ERTO tires on it, could be referred to as 28", 29", or 700c. That's just weird.

The Shwalbe website let's you see both sizings.
You just click ETRTO or INCH to see the equivalent.

I ordered 27.5 X 2.80 tires that came from England but my tires had 70-584 printed on them.
I didn't know what that was.

I've got both, but I only have trouble opening a link.

I can't tell from looking at the hinge, but do the "jaws" open or close when you squeeze the handles?

I won't be operating on any alligators, but they sure look useful.
