KT 30 A sinewave controller and Bafang G062 1000W Hub motor.
I cant connect the motor cable to controller connector when the arrows line up (as it should line up both ways).
So i have the motor connector plugged into controller and the arrows are about 5mm apart.
Motor runs and display powers up but i only get a voltage reading nothing else.
Ive ordered a different display in case the 8H is faulty.
My thinking is because the motor cable is plugged into controller offset the correct data readouts for speed etc do not get sent to display from controller.

The motor cable has three position sensors, and a speed sensor/ If the motor turns, the pins are all aligned. I've seen motor extension cables that have the arrows lined up wrong, but never seen that on a KT controller cable.

Look at your P2 setting. It needs to be non-zero for the speed sensor to work, and is 1 for most motors, but many Bafangs use 6, It represents the number of pulses per revolution the sensor toggles.

The KT displays send serial data back/forth to the controller. Other KT displays will show a specific error if the data flow isn't working, but the LCD8H does not. KT controllers will still run throttle and one default PAS level. if the display is not working.

Try walk mode.. If it doesn't start up. then the data circuits aren't working. Also switch the PAS levels. If you sense no difference in power, that also says the display cannot send any commands. If both of these work, than the display cannot read any data. I've seen that once, and it was a loose pin in the flat 5 pin plug, Shouldn't happen with the round plugs,

Walk mode non functional throttle works fine, PAS did not work so i disconnected it. Will try the p2 setting again but previously it didnt change anything.
Thanks
