That's a really interesting thread, but given the totally different battery connector\slot, I'm not sure it's relevant to Dorado Pro/Plus/Max/2170 505L cases (to fit "Surface 604, NCM, Rize, Magnum, Aventon", Frey AM1000v5, etc)?

I'm looking to add as many 18650 cells as possible, to the frames we have (accessory packs work, but we don't like them). I'm not looking to replace each Dorado-slotted frame, though!?

Apologies if this has already been asked & answered, but what are the maximum number of 18650 cells within the Dorado ID-MAX case?

L2 mm is not listed in the images I've found, but the interior space looks more than adequate for 6 sets of 18650 cells to lay lengthwise?

The honeycomb layout shown, would be up to 16 cells per set (3+4+5+4)... With 16×6 giving 96 cells total...

(As you may recall, I just want 14s6p=84.)

Any number available on the true maximum number of 18650 cells in the Dorado ID-MAX case?

Sorry to dredge up questions about old models!

Both major case makers have web pages with cell layout. Sadly there are some builders that exceed makers suggested numbers and create what may be bad batteries.
