Please post when you find out the Téos are in!

Rode 18 miles. 2 hrs of peddling, today, with a trailer bike and daughter in tow! The wife was on her Radrover. Terrian was flat to 12% hill climb up and down. Love the hydro brakes! I stayed in pas 1 & 2 on the flat trails, 3 on the small hills. And a all out hill climb 1st gear pas 9. The Rad out pulled the Teo' The battery life used less than 1 bar, the rad used 2 bars [ wife uses throttle to mutch.] We turned plenty of heads riding around town, Lynchburg VA.
Seen a $5000 ebike at our local bike shop. There cheapest, $2500. We have gotten a superior bike for the money. Only complaint. Need cup holder studs! Pictures ! Sorry about the double pics? The red bike $5000 bosh mid drive 500 watt, 200mm disc brakes, 11 speed

Great pics @Dan Edwards! so happy for you guys to be able to enjoy family rides like that. You must definitely attract attention! I must declare genius on your trailer setup too. This is great! inexpensive, easy to put the bikes up and down, don't even have to detach the bike for your daughter...

I saw your rear muddy tire in one picture... did your daughter end up looking like she ate too much chocolate cake? ;)
Oh yes she was complaining, ( made me stop and clean some off ) The rear fender will go back on. I didn't think it would clear the trailer bike. / Trailer bike A lady rented a bike and a double kid trailer. wrecked within 30 yards of the bike shop. Husband was riding the bigger bike. go figure. More riding today!

In less than 24 hrs it had arrived! No extra fees, no duty! Extra ching$$ for the bling!!:)
Shipping was. $150. Money exchange $14. $1836 total.
America94 i did ask Benoit to give you credit.

Just a word of caution, set aside a couple of hundred $, as you may very well get a bill in the mail shortly. Duty on bikes is around 11%, and a few other fees. Just sayin!

But then again, you may never get a bill.

According to the tracking, mine should arrive July 18th or 19th. Looking forward to it. I think any delays shipping are not Benoit's fault. I get the impression he works hard to get them out on time and then the shippers have logistics issues which come back and bite us all in the butt. Patience is a virtue! :)

It's worth waiting for quality. I'm glad I didn't go for another brand. The Teo looks like it has the right combination of component cost and quality. I've often thought it would be good if manufacturers spent a bit more on the parts they buy wholesale in order to make a better quality product. Teo seems to have done that. :)
I have lots of work to do around here while I'm waiting. :(

I have to admit, I have visited many Local Bike Shops and have seen many ebikes upclose. I'm in the US right now, where bike shops are everywhere, like Tim Hortons at home. Same.

1. Prices: well because we're dealing direct with the importer, no middle man, no dealer margin, cost is low. Very low compared to everything I've seen.

2. Components: Benoit has indeed picked good components, like : seat, seat suspension, hydraulic brakes, 9 speed derailleur by Shimano, powerful 17AH brand name battery, USB port, nice rims, good leather grips, adjustable stem, great fit and finish, nice paint job, decals are well placed and straight.

I've seen bike costing 3 times as much that had very few or even none of these, except for a known brand name.

As for warranty or service, I have no doubt defective parts will be sent to us when required, no worse than many other brands, who are just as far from any customer as Téo could be. Having used brand names, like Bafang, Shimano, Tektronix, Panasonic, it will be easy post warranty to maintain our Téos.

I could not be happier with my purchase. :)

The Teo's showed up yesterday afternoon!:) Boxes arrived in good condition.
Installation went ok with a few minor hick-ups, nothing that can't be remedied! One question to the new Teo owners, (I haven't really looked at the programming sheet yet sry) Does your throttle work with out peddling? Both bikes you need to be peddling to activate the throttle. I thought this was changed on the new ones? Pics will follow soon:)

Hi @Falken I hope things are safe for you on the West coast as we are following the news here, it is never fun to see all those fires! I have lived in Victoria BC for 12 years, I kind of miss the coastal weather sometime, mainly in the winter...
I am pretty happy for you that you finally did got your Teos!!! I am trying to get my wife onboard to get one too!
About the throttle, for mine I can get going with just a twice of the throttle, it is specially great to get going from a dead start in high gear. It may worth asking Benoit about this.

Cheers and keep riding! :)

Thanks @Stoker283 ! Yes those fires are something....I hope they get them under control. They aren't affecting us much up in the north ( our turn was last year ) but the smoke is evident up here now. Thank you for your kind words:)

Ya about the throttles....Both bikes are working like the previous model Teo's. Twisting the throttle does nothing unless you peddle. Also, they both have that "walk" feature, if you push and hold the minus button then the throttle works. I have emailed Benoit about it so I will post when he responds.

@Falken congrats I'm so happy for you, hope your smile was as big as mine when you opened the box. Enjoy your new rides and post your findings with lots of pictures.
Do not forget to tieten the bolt in the kickstand or it will go missing along with the bottom part of the kickstand, look for it on inside of the kickstand.

Good things happen to those who can wait. Or so my mom use to say.

Congrats on getting your bikes.. Forgot you were getting 2 of them.

Enjoy and let's all share that grin.

I guess we never grow up, for some things. :D

Thanks guys. Smiles here:D:D:D Just finished putting on some of the accessories. Rear bag I purchased is a little small....should have realized a fat bike rack is probably bigger than a standard mtb rack. Bottle holders and cell holders are on. I find myself doing a lot of macgyvering on these mounts lol. Drilled and tapped the bottle holders because I wasn't happy with the tork on the m5 bolt it came with. Now they have m6x1.0 which is much stronger. Now they don't move even when I really push on them :). The phone mount I got rid of the friction tab that is supposed to secure it to the bar. Found I could not get that tight enough so I removed the tab altogether, reversed the m5 bolt that it came with and secured the cap nut with red locktight. Now that is what I use to tighten with and it works great.

You know, the kickstand bolt is probably the only thing I didn't go over LOL! I will go blue locktight them for sure. Thanks @AguassissiM !
I just realized my bike battery didn't come with the sticker either...Guess I'll let Teo know or put some other stickers there or something. Looks kind of bare on that side of the bike...

Hey @Denis Shelston . Do you find that your bike is more flame red/orange than just bright red? I noticed on the pictures you posted of your bike it looked orange to me. I didn't say anything because I thought it was the sun or my screen settings or something. Then I looked at the pics Stephane posted when he first saw the red bikes, and they look red. Then I figured ok, maybe Denis had his camera on a different setting or something. Turns out when I opened the box with my bike, it looks orangey red to me. Here's a pic of my red Teo up beside my red Giant. I know there's a ton of red's but you get the idea.

@Falken this is what my son said when he seen mine : hey paps why is your bike so orange I thought you were getting a red one. I dismissed it with a laughter saying that this was the brand new 2017 red. Come winter season I will think about changing the color or I just may wrap it in polka-dot vinyl....

Oh, you had to bring this up...

Yes I do think the RED is more like RED-ORANGE.

But I like it, thank God.

Benoit sent by mail a battery Téo Fat Bike sticker, will put it on.

I too did forget the kickstand bolt, will look at that asap. I need to tighten the rear fender upper bolt and the one under the seat too!

Oh, this may be a stupid question, but is there a correct side to install the Quick Release on the front wheel, should the lever be on the disc side or the other... Or it does not matter?

Maybe there is a preferred side....honestly don't know. I installed both on the right side, opposit the disc. I have 4 Giant mtb in my shop. I looked at them before I installed on the Teo and 2 are on the right side and 2 are on the left. All have hydraulic disk brakes. I just figured it must not matter.

Traditionally front and rear QR are on the left to keep the chain and derailleur clear at the back. But these new fangled brakes muddy the issue.
Doesn't really make a functional difference ;)

What a BIKE! Mine arrived today and it is well worth the wait. The gearing, PAS, and throttle are all fairly intuitive and it has lots of power. I agree that raising the PAS as you go through the gears makes a lot of sense. I notice that it's good to have the brake on slightly to cut out the motor if the PAS is on high and you're doing a U-turn. Even pedaling lightly in low gear gets exciting when the PAS kicks in.

I'm glad I had the patience to order the Teo S and wait for the shipping. It's well worth the wait! Thank you, Benoit for putting together a superior product. Merci, Monsieur Benoit!

ps Thanks as well to Stephane for his promoting this wonderful machine so well and showing us that it's only common sense to buy one.

pps The red ones ARE faster! :)
