Paint job on 1.0 vs 2.0 and wrapping

I ordered my XP ST in June and at the time assumed I’d get the 1.0 but I didn’t receive the bike until August so it’s the 2.0. One thing that’s been bugging me is the “black” isn’t black at all, it’s a very dark blue.

my question is - was the 1.0 version actually black? Because when I look at photos I keep wondering why the 1.9 just looks more appealing, just cooler and haven’t been able to figure out why… but I think that’s what it is. Was it in fact true black?

I’ve actually been considering looking into “wrap” and wonder if anyone out there has wrapped theirs?

Yeah, 1.0 was Black and we ended up wrapping it in a carbon fibre tape. Looks pretty good.

So it was true black. Can you share any details about the wrap? What it’s called or where to find it? That does look great! And if I understand how wrap works, you can peel it off and the original paint is unscathed?

I have 2 black 2.0 XP's, they're both dark blue.

I used Vivid brand vinyl wrap as seen on Randysrides on YouTube.
I bought it on Amazon.
Mine is the last batch of the 1.0 XP. It Is black!
His XP wrap video is perfect and copy the pattern link he offers. I did that too.
Also use the soap suds method he uses..
You can see mine looks like paint. It was my first time.
