Our seats aren't sprung!

Hmm yeah the stock seat is ok but after 10 miles or so it starts to cause pain. I was checking out the suncoast but it’s a bit pricey for me, I saw an alternative to the suncoast, it was basically a spring suspension seat post

I would probably try that before one of the Satori 35 dollar shock absorber jobs that are absolute pogo sticks that do not compress unless you are 275+

This big rubber bumpers on our seats led me to believe there's some sort of cushioning provided by them. Wrong, they are for show only! Those rubber "bumpers" surround a solid plastic core which provides zero movement. I took mine out which lowered the seat over an inch. Plus now it doesn't look like a girls seat...

The plastic core does not need to move; it merely stabilizes the bumper. If the top (or bottom piece when right side up) that held the rails did not move, then I could see your point. But it did move...it lowered the seat. Why? Because the bumper was not there to allow the seat to move up and down.

Yeah... I have a similar seat... the bumpers are the "springs".

Why would the seat be lower if they weren't adding more height to it?
