Ordered my new bike today

I always saw prodeco as one of the bigger e-bike sellers in the US that couldn't be bothered to take risks or make something new/different - big batteries hanging off the back are so un-appealing. I hadn't seen that bike before but it actually has decent name brand components and the design is much nicer than their previous bike designs. Congrats!

There is a Trek dealer near me but i didnt like the trek-t80 , my neighbor is a really good mechanic. I am hoping to have minimal problems , fingers crossed!

Same, i have heard and read bad things about the battery hanging off the back of the bike, not only unbalancing the bike but looking ungainly!

It doesn't look like this Prodeco has Pedal Assist..Pedal assist will allow you to increase range by 30-100%, and allow the top speed to increase to 28 mph. Plus PAS is a lot more fun to ride, like a regular bike with a kick.

I would buy a model with PAS in 2015..unless that's not something youre interested in.

I think you can order the genesis with PAS for extra $$

I thought about that and i figured i would be riding it like a scooter 90% of the time anyway. I am retired so im going to be tooling around on city bike paths and streets at my leisure. If i had to commute on a schedule id definitely get pedal assist.

You might surprise yourself! Pedaling along feels much more natural, and really does require much less effort than a normal bike. I was bored with the throttle in about 5 minutes.

The bike doesnt ship till next week sometime its a pre order right now - ill find out if i can add it on the new Genesis.

Thanks for the heads up , glad i posted!

Nice bike, congrats! Just to chime in, don't try to accomplish anything with Prodeco by email only! Follow it up by phone immediately and tell the first person you speak to why you are calling. I found them responsive person to person, but not electronically and it did delay getting parts by a couple days. Good luck!

Congrat's on your order DWE!
I'm in the same boat as you having just ordered an Optibike Pioneer Allroad (my 1st ebike as well) that unfortunately won't be shipped to me until July!

I talked to Prodecotech support , they have been really good at answering the phone and all my questions promptly, I am quite impressed! They are not sure if the BEAM TS system is compatible with the redesigned Genesis. They are calling me back Friday to let me know if they can add it to my order.

If you look at the video I posted it should fit and given Prodeco still uses the BEAMS TS, I would think the new controller for your bike would be compatible, but I'm not sure. Maybe @Crazy Lenny Ebikes can shed some light on this?

Thats the thing , can they wire it plug n play to the new controller? Are the brackets going to fit a brand new frame design?

It will fit the frame, for sure! And it is plug and play for other Prodeco bikes. Lenny will know.
