I gave up motorcycles a year ago and almost have my Radwagon ready to go. I wanted to check with experienced riders about proper operation before I tried and killed myself. I need someone to explain the shifters on the left and right sides of the handle bar and how to use those? I also want to know if selections on the LCD screen bypass the shifters? Thanks for the help.

I believe the radrover has the same shifters.
You use your thumb to press the button to shift up. Then the lever at the top you push that up/over to shift down.
The PAS levels you choose, 0-5, do NOT over-ride your gearing. The gears on your bike work like a normal bike. The PAS levels are only there to add power to your ride. If you have the new firmware - lets say you're in PAS 2. This should be around 150 watts. This 150 watts of power is always applied to the rear hub as long as you pedal. Pedal like normal and the PAS levels will give you XXX amount of power to help boost your performance.
If you want to switch to throttle only - simply just stop pedaling and twist the wrist! Like old times!

The Radrover doesn't have front derailleur or left hand shifter. 
What I like about the right shifter is you can skip gears to downshift. I'm usually in gear 6 or 7 on my Radrover at my commuter cruising speed in PAS 3 or 4. When I need to slow down or stop, I can just skip gears and flip the gear level down to 2nd or 3rd gear and just do about a 1/2 - 3/4 rotation of the pedals to move the chain over. Because of the delayed response of the PAS, I don't get the surge of power compared to a more responsive PAS system. I can leave it in 2nd gear and just use the throttle or 1/4 turns/reverse/1/4 turn of the pedal if I need to creep up without motor surge to press the crossing light.
I'm already in the correct PAS level and lower gear when the light turns green AND I still have the throttle for full power and quick up-shifts if I need get across even faster. I can do my commute with only touching the right shifter and staying in the same PAS level the entire time like my regular bike (I never needed to change the front derailleur on my old bike, so not a big deal not having one on the Radrover). The big difference compared to my regular bike is I can't skip gears to downshift and I'm doing 19-22 mph on the Radrover compared to 12-15 mph on my old bike at max cruising speed.
