I have a Norco 7.3 all-carbon (acoustic bike) that was converted by Bionx engineers to have a D500 motor - absolutely love it. As others have mentioned Norco is a trusted name in the bicycle industry.
The Bigfoot VLT 1 is their 'top' model in this series and looking at the specs, it's dreamy. The bike itself without the electronics would be an easy $3,500-4,500 purchase (CDN) and then add in high end motor setup it's easy to justify the price you're seeing.
If you have the budget, you will be super happy with this bike. It will ride awesome everywhere year round - except on pavement, lol - it will roll over pavement just fine but may buzz slightly (all fat bikes do) but if the pavement is getting you to the dirt/snow/mud/mountains it's totally worth it.
Here's a video my searches came up with, perhaps you have seen it, in case you haven't:
All I can say is damn, look at how much fun he's having.
Cheers
