Hello from Canada!

Just finished converting my 2014 santa cruz v10 to a ebike.

I bought a used ego kit 3400w from a guy sponsored by ego here in Canada.

Im riding downhill trail at Mont Sainte anne since 2004. Then I get older got kids but still love riding downhill in easier trail. But i dont have too much time to go there by the weekend.

I have plenty of non official or bike dedicated trails ( under power lines) around the house where motor bike are not too much tolarated because they are loud , but ebike are welcome even a 3400w ebike.

Then i got the idea of converting my bike soni can get this heavy bike uphill and still riding downhill every day if i want.

For now i dont have any regrets with this kit. I would not have paid the full retail price but for the price i paid, I have no complain, this kit is awesome!!

Beautiful eMTB and looks like a lot of fun to ride? Do you have to wear a backpack battery pack to ride?

Yes I put the battery in a back pack. Seems heavy at first but when riding I dont barely notice it.
The bike is really fast and really fun to ride can wait to ride it off road. Ive done some 30 km ride with almost no real pedaling with some hill and used about 60% of the battery. So Im guessing a 40 km engine only range. I topped around 58 kmh on flat without pedaling

I changed the motor drive chain ring for a 48 ( was a 42) change a lot on start torque.

What i love the most for now is that I can pedal the same way, even with a good hill and heavy front wind like I was on flat with that wind in the back.

There is a little video of what it look like. I will do more video offroad when the snow will be melt, but for now we just go around 18" of snow today so the bike return to the basement for now

Crazy cool set up! I built mine with a 26" MTB it will hit 53kmh on motor alone but it is a 1000w hub motor...but to be legal in the state it cannot be rated higher than 750 watts. So mine is 750 watts cough cough. Enjoy the ride, nice looking bike.
