New Kiox 330 doesn't power up or down.

The power button isn't engaged for some reason?
I have to plug in the battery to the charger to get it to power up.
If I remove it from the cradle, it cycles through the screens then says "Goodbye"
If I leave it in the cradle, it does the same cycle and shut down.
The only way to power it up is to place it in the cradle and plug in the charger.
It responds within 15 seconds.
I've downloaded the eBike Connect app and when the Kiox is powered up, it works.
Any ideas welcome...Thanks

No response here yet.
Sales support tech suggested this is due to an uncharged Kiox battery.
Hooked up the USB port and it powered up and began to cycle screens.
14 hours later, took it off the USB and it cycled screens then shut down again.
Still won't turn on.
Problem filed again with online support tech.

it sounds like the battery could be toast since it runs on usb. but does the battery indicator show full?
The battery display shows the bikes storage, currently 75%.
I haven't found a Kiox battery indicator after reviewing several searches.
That battery isn't functioning or the Kiox is defective is my conclusion.

I dont know about the new one but the old ones had under display there is a field for the nyon or kiox display battery. there should be one somewhere.

Am curious, does the ebike-connect app work with a Kiox 500?

Are you able to get a replacement?
I've just taken this Kiox 500 into my local Bosch ebike service center.
That tech tells me that the internal battery is not replaceable by them.
It's not charging as it should and the unit is defective.
He admitted that he's never seen a defective Kiox like this one.
Now to get the sales folks to replace this one is the answer.
and yes, the ebike-connect app works when the display is on the bike and powered up.

Here is where it shows in the nyon when it’s off the bike top left

This Kiox does not have the second battery display like the Nyon.
And the good news is that the bike sales staff has responded to my phone message.
They are shipping a replacement unit and including a return label for this defective display.
Thanks to Zack, my local Bosch tech and to Propel who otherwise did an excellent job with the bike sale, setup, shipping.
It's a hazard when you use an online resource and you have a service or hardware issue.
I am relieved and will post the results of the replacement unit.
Thanks to those that participated.

you only get that when I remove it from the bike. so check and see.

Buy a multimeter and check all connections and switches> come fellas, how can you help the guy without NUMBERS! DATA! Battery power and switches 101. The answer may not be there but WTF, begin at the beginning...

I doubt that would work for this anyway. now would you measure an internal battery on a device without a battery output? even sticking a multimeter on a bosch battery will not give you a reading.

Glad you're getting a replacement, it does sound like bad hw.

Do you have a Smart System bike or a System2 bike? Like Peter, I ask because the Kiox500 is not compatible with the eBike Connect app according to Bosch.

The first app I tried was the Flow? app and it didn't connect/work.
I downloaded the current Ebike Connect and it did connect with the Kiox while it was active on the bike.
My replacement Kiox is due Friday so I'll have a better idea when I get it up and running.
As I said above, my local Bosch tech confirmed it's not wiring or connections.
The Kiox unit is defective.

Are you sure it is a 500? That sounds like the 330.
