New Juiced Bike Model: The Scrambler, fat 20" Wheels, Class 3, Double-Seater

This guy has been making ebike videos on YouTube for a while. Juiced loaned him a CCS. The videos are pretty interesting. He says they're loaning him a RCS next, when they have one available that is. Loaners, not give-aways.
My last road bike was a reviewers. Got a great price on it because he didn't care since he didn't pay for it.

No doubt. I'm not saying it never happens, just that this guy got a loaner, not a give-away, from Juiced. It's the only example I know of involving Juiced Bikes. Thought I'd share it.

Or was your remark simply a non sequitur?

More of a non sequitur admittedly.

Though Tora will be sending them to media, which often means cash or in kind payments, or not. Hard to know unless they disclose.

I hope it succeeds just so it can build more momentum for the actually useful bikes like the CCS :p. Though this would be fun to rent and kick around.

The Scrambler looks like it would be a lot of fun to ride in the Croatan National Forest near where I live. The forestry/logging roads are extensive, and there are paths you could get on also (not MTB paths, just paths.) I wouldn't care to ride my CCS on any of it, but the Scrambler looks custom-made for that kind of riding.

If you swapped out your tires, you could do light MTB on the CCS, no? Especially, if as I surmise, the future CCS will have wider rims and tire clearance.

Does anyone know when the IGG campaign opens up? I'm curious to see how much interest this bike gets. I know right now for the Super 73, there's a 120 day wait from the day you order (in the US). And I recall Tora saying that orders for the Scrambler close at the end of July? So does that mean October/November delivery (to the US)?

IG closes early July, and delivery mid to late fall. I'd say arrival by (Orthodox*?) Christmas, probably. Last day of fall is Dec 21.

*January 7.

You could probably make money flipping these. Assuming they don't have any glaring faults.

The fat minibike is quickly shaping up to be the trend bike of 2018-2019:

Maybe we can get the balloon bike (as fast as a CCS, comfort of an RCS) that actually makes sense, in late 2019?

Not to mention:

the Luna Banana which was out a year ago (ahead of their time & using a mid-drive)

This one didn't do too well but I think it was a cool looking e-scooter - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1864797206/the-atx-8080-charge-your-ride-change-the-world

Great links. IMO, Juiced should have specced one of those big round light bulbs like the other models. And the 1 sign looks dumb.

I'm sure you could wire an aftermarket headlight but the stock light seems hella-bright. I don't have a problem with the 1-sign but I suspect it would be detachable. After you see how its mounted, you could probably create your own sign using the same dimensions to customize the look.

If you expect customers to go aftermarket to make it look how it should've from the beginning, then you're throwing away potential customers who will buy something else even if it's less powerful (which they may not understand, given the novelty of electric bikes).

Juiced could appeal to more people if it spent a few more dollars on polish IMO. Will probably happen anyway once it's volume multiplies.

Premium looking bikes can command a premium, but don't need to necessarily spend much more on parts.

Maybe Tora is operating from a very limited set of parts, given his manufacturer, so he doesn't have the design finesse implemented like say, Vintage Electric.

Apparently the Scrambler Indiegogo will close before it opens?

For anything date related, the Juiced website has about 25% accuracy.

That would be awesome. I believe, from comments that Tora has made about backwards compatibility, that it would be, but can't be certain yet.

It looks like you can get the same battery on the non hyper variations but no mention of cross compatibility

I've seen people ask about battery compatibility in a couple other places and it sounds like the batteries are mostly compatible. I picked one up for $1k partly because I was on the fence about buying a spare battery anyway. The specs are as good on the $1k City and Camp Scrambler as Lithium Cycles $2200 Super 73.
