NEED Battery Pack for 48v 1000W Hub Motor

NEED battery pack for a 48v 1000W hub motor, looking for USA vendor, not interested in vendors from China currently on Amazon or eBay with poor or no customer reviews.

Thank you. I appreciate the info. I contacted them, along with Luna Cycle whose also located in southern California. I ended up buying the largest pack of 18650 cells from Luna Cycle because they had a CHAT feature on their website and someone responded IMMEDIATELY and help me find what to buy right away. I have a couple of bikes, so I've install this 1st battery pack on my first bike and will buy the 2nd pack for my other bike from Hi-Power. I want to compare the 2 vendors and their respective packs personally. On a side note, wish there was a better warranty and customer service program in place when working with these Chinese vendors on Amazon. The prices are much lower but the capacity & performance claims seem to be false and it seems you can't reach the vendor if you have a service or warranty need. Amazon redirects you to the vendor and that doesn't work.

Some China vendors are just as good as some USA vendors. Look at warranties. I've been using a Chineses vendor who builds for USA resellers. Some USA resellers send parts after a short warranty. Same as the China source. I ask them to send a spare BMS. Usually $16 or so. ERad, empowered, California eBikes and EM3ev are other sources. I take the risk with a China site I've now used for 3 years and sent dozens of people. Price is low enough and so far it's been a good gamble. Sounds like you're on the right track.

If you got one of the vendors known to be good, and requested other than Chinese made batteries you may be OK. There's a lot of very low prices that would make me skittish. Your link doesn't get me to a battery.

I've got three Luna batteries. No explosions, fires, or wake-up-dead yet.

1) 48V 11.6AH Dolphin with Samsung 30Q cells. Purchased August 2015. Not used much. Was shipped with a 52V charger and I never realized it til this winter. Screws missing on the case. USB port fake. Can't find metric screws that are 3 inches long, so I replaced with standard thread.

2) 48V rack battery with GA cells. Purchased a year ago. About 400 miles on the battery.

3) 52V Luna Mini with GA cells. Purchased last November. Its charger died in January. Don't like XT-60 charging port with male plug. Shorted it out twice on rivets and screws. Now I keep a dummy plug on it.

I also have a 36V 10AH Dolphin from elifebike in China purchased in July 2015. Unknown cells. Claimed to be Headway, but cells are 18650's. Cost $280 shipped. Real USB port. Must be a very reliable battery as it still works.

We have similar experience. From the same supplier, I have a 48V Dolphin, two 20Ah triangles 48v and 52V, a 52v mini, and 36V. In addition to 100 HG2 cells. I did not criticque, I questioned poster experience. I also have batteries from Lectric Cycles, EM3ev, and your suppliers source. I did decide, since mine are stored in a basement, that I needed some safety measure. The cabinet has an alarm for temperature and smoke. After a very experienced decade long builder and well known eBike guru lost his house a month or two ago, I thought I'd spend far less than the cost of a battery on a safe storage setup. I sleep better. And my batteries are in a consistent storage temperature. Two of 6 bikes are running so far this spring so far as it turned cold again. Those batts are mounted and in the garage since it's not over sane battery temp out there yet. My second Satiator will soon be replacing all mediocre chargers as my backup. 72V for no reason other than I have the first version which takes me down to a 12V SLA. So I now have near the widest range possible, at least as my needs will ever go.
