Noisy Bafang hub motor

Yeah the clicks start around the 3 second mark, go away when I let off the throttle at the 4 second mark, then come back around 7-9 seconds.

I listened to it over and over, and all I heard was two clicks.

Is it possible to tape or velcro your phone to the frame of your bike in different places and start recording?

Plug in headphones usually have a built-in mic.
There's bluetooth and usb mics as well.

If you get your mic right in front of the sound source, you should hear it clearly in the recording.

A better sound bite would help a lot and it's easier than swapping your controller.

Higher frequency sound is more directional and bounces off hard surfaces making them hard to locate.
Lower frequency sound is more omnipresent making it hard to locate as well.
A microphone can locate a higher frequency sound easier because the sound is louder when the (directional) mic is aimed directly at the source of the sound.

They've got mechanics stethoscopes too, but that starts getting a little too tricky to deploy. 😂

I did bot hear other other than motor whine in your video. It seems to me that clicks come from a loose spoke, When I hear them, I run a spoke wrench around the spokes. I've built a few wheels so I have a feel for the tension,
