When I first got the bike ~1500 miles ago, I pulled the motor apart and greased it with Mobilith SHC 100.
The past few weeks, it's been making almost a chirping/dragging sound, usually in "lugging" situations with light throttle, or right as I roll on the throttle. Almost like a squealing brake rotor
Tonight, I pulled the motor to service it. Everything seemed to be in good shape, but a little bit dry (pics were taken before adding more grease). I pushed all the magnets with a screwdriver, none seemed loose. Gears moved smoothly.
I cleaned the gears and applied a lot of SHC 100 grease (more than I thought it would need), and the noise is definitely improved, but not eliminated.
