My ST5 was just marked as stolen while I was on it.

So I’m out on a planned 60 mile ride.
I stop for lunch and while in lock mode I get a SMS text telling my ST5 has been marked stolen. The lights are flashing the display shows “Stolen”.
I was able to unlock it with my pin....
What the what is going on?

“Your ST5 TBNST5S70xxxxxxxxx with nickname ST5 Xxx has been reported as stolen.
myStromer AG, Freiburgerstrasse 798, CH-3173 Oberwangen”

I didn't know they had such 'smart' features on an ebike....I'd start by emailing Stromer tech support.

Turned out that I triggered the theft notification.... I pushed it while it was locked. I have never seen it work!

Every shaking, moving or pushing is registered by the Stromers's sensors. But the "Stromer Stolen Alert" is postponed slightly to avoid false alerts (somebody touches the bike accidentally or just place it out of way).

I attach a story from Switzerland (in German, of course) which illustrates two things: The well doing function of the anti theft device and the shame about a specific class of citizens.
