My Hydra's Kindernay hub is leaking

I went for a ride today and the hub was reluctant to shift into 7th gear. I thought the shifter might need adjusting or bleeding, but when I looked at the bike later on in the day I found this:

Looks like I'll have to ship the hub somewhere for repairs. I've texted Pushkar about the leaking. Hopefully, he'll respond and let me know what my next step should be.

I went through three of them and they all leaked. The fix for mine was to remove it completely.

Have you been able to locate where it’s leaking from? Is possible to seal it with “epoxy” like liquid steel?

It's leaking at the hydraulic lines connection (see photo). This is a (unfortunately) common leaking point for the hub. I thought Kindernay had fixed the problem, but obviously not.
I won't do any DIY repairs, since the hub is still under warranty.
I'm waiting for Pushkar to let me know where the hub should be sent for repairs or replacement.

Are you saying it leaks at the hydraulic connectors of the line coming into the Hysec, or between the Hysec and the hub?

Looks like it's between the Hysec and the hub.

So the bearing / seal of the hub on the Hysec side.
With today's technology, I can't understand why they cant make that seal work...

I just went to Kindernay's website and noticed both the 7 and 14 speed hubs are out of stock.

Pushkar finally got back to me. He can't do any work on the hub, so I suspect it has to go back to Norway. I'm now waiting for a response to the email I sent to Kindernay.
I suspect I won't be riding my Hydra for a while.

Have you taken the wheel off and the Hyseq to see if you can see something obvious?

The wheel's off....I just trying to figure out how the hub comes out. Small bolts are out and it looks like I should just be able to tap it out from the sprocket side with a rubber mallet.

The hub is attached to the wheel cage by the 7 bolts. You need to remove these, then the hub comes out pushed from the sproket side.
In doubt, check the online install manual.
If gummed in, dont tap the axle, tap the enclosure gently.

Took the bolts out and give the hub a gentle tap with a rubber mallet and it came right out.

Wipe it clean then spin it and see if you can spot the leak

Kindernay is sending me a new (reconditioned?)hub and labels so I can send the leaking hub back to them.
Big thumbs up to Kindernay for the great customer support.

This leaking problem has got me thinking about the possibility that the Ultra motor, with the Archon X1 controller is too powerful for the hub.
Let me explain-for almost a year I've ridden my Hydra (although only 300 miles) and never noticed any leaking. Knowing that leaking can be an issue with this hub I'm constantly checking for leaks.
The last ride on was on I had to ride around 15km on roads back to my house.
I usually keep to the lower power levels, but this time I decided to open the bike up to see what it could do. For a good part of the ride home I had the power level in the 1200-1500 watts, and was easily hitting 28 to 31 mph.
It was after this ride that I noticed the leaking.
So, mostly easy riding and no leaking, but put the power down and I get leaking.
I'm I wrong to think that maybe, just maybe, the use of the power was too much for the hub?

What you you guys think?

Just going to compare apples to oranges here.

My buddy has a similar bike as your Hydra, An Exess HP E180 with the Ultra/Archon X1 motor and also has the upgrade to 2200w and he has been running a Rohloff 14spd rear hub on his and hasn't had any issues.
Only been a couple of months so far but he's not easy on it at all.
Zero street riding, all single track and enduro riding.
Not a drop of oil.

He swears by it and not at it.
Sorry for your troubles.

Yet many people report oil leaks with Rohloff...
So I would not draw any conclusions.
