Moscow Plus Brake Pads done in 880 miles

Granted I live in a hilly section of So Cal, but my other mountain bikes do a few thousand before pads are toast. I wouldn't think 30 lbs more weight should make that much difference, but I am climbing higher than my human powered bikes. It was also interesting that the rear pads wore out first. I try to balance braking front to rear, but the rear does have a smaller rotor. Does this seem normal?

I'm going to try the Tektro P20.11 pads next, A10.11 are stock on the Moscow Plus.

Didn´t replace the pads on mechanical discs of my regular moscow ´til 2800 mi rear, 3000 mi front.
You & I probably have different riding styles. At 2 LBSs they wanted $18 for a single pair of pads.
I got 4 pair for $12 on ebay, $3 a pr. If they only get a 1000 mi a pair, I´m still ahead of the game,
front 180mm, rear 160mm. Perhaps hydraulics wear faster?

I'm at 1400 miles on my original pads. Moscow+. I'm in Vermont, but a relatively flat part. Still have some short steep hills where the brakes get a workout but nothing too big.

I seldom excede 14 mph. That´s a little faster than before E. I´m happy for the help hauling my beatup, old carcass around..

Hello, do you know what type of brake pads suitable for Moscow? Same as your Moscow Plus?

I'm not sure what caliper they use on the Moscow. Tektro makes common pads that are compatible with some hydraulic or mechanical brakes, but I'm not sure the Moscow/Moscow+ is in that range. The easiest way would be to remove your caliper and check the back of the pad. If it says A10.11 then they're the same and there are many pad options available.
