Mac front hubs fitting forks?

Has anyone have any experiences they could share about how well Mac geared front hub motors fit into forks? They have been described as have very tight clearances for disc brake calipers, especially hydro ones. I've dealt with rotor spacers and moving calipers to suit before, and I think I could easily bump up to a larger rotor size to get the caliper to clear the motor body.

My main concern is about how the 20" wheel I would like to build, using a Mac 10T, will fit a fork with a standard 100mm dropout but with a specific design limitation. The Mac motors look to have very little space on the non-disc side, so little in fact that the casing may rub on the fork leg. The fork dropouts themselves are suited to a 100mm OLD but the fork is constructed with the dropouts welded into the center of the fork leg tubing. Or, said another way, where the dropouts meet the fork leg tubing the spacing moves inward about 5mm. And the fork has lawyers lips. It is steel though!

So, has anyone encountered problems fitting the hubs into their forks and found a solution? Or perhaps it isn't even a problem!
