Is this bicycle, a Scott Sub 20 hybrid, a good candidate for conversion to E-bike?

Looks great. Consider using your two bottle bosses plus one Versa Mount. Spacers at the bottle bosses will boost them up. This will give you a third support. Two is fine if you do not go off road. Take apart the three screws on the provided connector and use a soldering iron to remove it from the provided pigtail. With heat shrink 1/4 in tube wire directly from inside the motor to the connector. This way it is seamless. Here you can see that with a bike I made yesterday. And here is an example of a battery with three supports. I used to use these batteries three years ago.

I'm not thrilled by the size, shape and mounting options for most batteries. I rather my bike not look like it is obviously DIY.
I think something like this would look good. Long, narrow, not too tall with a nice shape. Don't want something that looks like a bomb or a fish! Although I have concerns about mounting something like this. PedalUma what do you think about drilling into an aluminum frame and installing a rivnut or two?

Thought I would update this thread. I now have the bike prepared for some long range rides. I have a 14ah battery mounted to the down tube. I was concerned that just using the two bottle holder mounts on an aluminum frame may not be sufficient. But between using foam insulation to help spread the load and two large straps I have no doubt that the battery is very secure. I also have added a frame bag to hold my 9ah bottle battery, With this setup I can easily get 80 miles of range. I just hope my butt can handle that distance.
