InMotion v8f -- CPU won't read new wheel/axl

I had a bike shop replace the wheel/axl after I cracked the original one. The four contact points of the electric motor are hooked properly into the CPU. I've used the app to erase the flash drive, unplugged and replugged everything back in a dozen times, unplugged the battery connection, and held down the power button for 30 seconds. But no matter what I do, the CPU is not registering the new motor.

When I run the diagnostic on the app, I get a red X by the motor. The unit also, when turned on, has a small red dot on the left, upper corner of the battery indicator.

Nothing seems to work. Please help!
