Battery won't charge new bike

Tech guys in China you mean? I'd really be surprised that an on-line seller called electric bike paradise has a tech department.
I see. It's like a laptop charger where you plug in connector heads. I wanted to understand why your Rattan charger has an adapter.

However, a Sondors charger fits your Rattan battery. That means you have the standard 5.5 mm charger socket. But the Sondors charger doesn't work either.

If the battery won't take a charge, the root cause is not important. You need to demonstrate to the seller that the battery won't charge. I predict that he is going to send you a new charger first, because it's a 5 dollar part, Then after you show it doesn't work, he'll have to cough up a battery,

Good luck.

The sondors charger would only work with the adapter also. I communicated with Rattan directly by email. They sent me back instructions and to check it with my multimeter I did it on video and sent that video attachment to them. They sent me a reply a little over 24 hours later that their diagnosis was the battery. Electric bike Paradise.com I sent the same info to. Haven't got no response from them by email or phone call. I had to call them and inform them the information I got from rattan. My recommendation from what service I have gotten never order from electric bike Paradise. Com. As far as running a business professionally and satisfying their customers seems to be their lowest priority. Thanks man safe riding

Give them a few days and if they don't take care of you open a dispute with PayPal and also with your credit card. Print any screens from their website that state any warranty info or any other information that will help your case.
Good luck!

Have you checked the connection between the battery and the mount? And then to the controller? Possible you may have more than one problem here... But it sounds like a bad battery as it's the common denominator for all

I will if I have any more issues. I got an email back from rattan this morning. That said it takes them time to prepare the battery and it will be mailed out Thursday and it should be here within 7 to 10 business days. I replied with the message that I need a tracking number is as soon as it becomes available to them. He sent me back a reply why am I moving. I responded and said no but I need a tracking number once it becomes available to you so I can track the package all way to my doorstep to make sure I'm here to receive it cuz we have for its porch Pirates around here. So if I don't get a tracking number by Friday I'll be thinking strongly about following the discrepancy with PayPal in my bank thanks man for the info safe riding

Thanks for the advice. I stupidly bought a Rattan 750LF and it died on my 3rd ride, less than 3 miles total. I have sent pics, emails, videos,...you name it to at least a dozen different Rattan customer service agents and they refuse to honor their warranty. For some reason they even have Amazon reps emailing me with ridiculous 2-3 second videos even though I didn't buy it from Amazon. They just mess around with you until you give up and just toss your $1k in the trash and buy a real ebike. I'm calling the bank Monday morning thanks alot

Sadly a $1000 eBike is just a $200-$300 Walfart bike with a cheap clone motor and cheap battery. We try to warn people but there is always weekend warriors with 100 miles on their $1000 ride that will get their panties knotted and call us elitists. I'm sorry you had this experience $1000 s a lot of money for many of us.

A really good conversion kit with my dealer pricing is over $1000.
