Hyper handle bars

The "Hyper" ebike build I am trying to finish has a few things that are rather troubling,I made a satisfactory mount on the battery using a "Schwinn" seat post rack only trouble the post is at the minimum insertion depth( seems to be plenty there to hold it though) my "sweep " handlebar is a bit of an issue it has a 2 bolt mount on the stem, , when you put a fair amount of pressure on the handlebars it wants to rotate and I am getting a little afraid of the torque I am putting on the stem screws-any suggestions"? Thanks Guys and have a happy going into next year-Kevin

I changed the stem, thought about adjusting them to suit me, and adding a rivet or roll pin just doesn't seem like a good idea) the stock stem had 1 bolt.

This stuff is good at preventing slippage. It is originally designed for carbon fiber bikes so things like seat posts do not need to be over tightened. It is not glue-like and does not dry out. It just adds friction and grip. It could even be used on a cellphone holder that you do not want to slip.

Thanks for this one up, wonder where I can find some.

It difficult to imagine the picture without actually seeing it, but is your new stem compatible with your handlebar?

As you probably know, there are different diameters of stem clamps.
That could be the trouble, the "sweeper" bar seems a little skinny, I suppose I could put the stock cruiser bar back on it, it has a nice knurling or splines on it( just do not care that much for chrome,) ah,ha there is a rattle can of Black paint on the bench next to the bike( just saying) My real problem I think is the leverage the long sweep can produce, wouldn't be the first time I had to go back to stock. LBS installed Shimano calipers on it, now the brakes work and I think it is going to work out
