Hot phase wires

Hi guys,

My son and I have identical builds apart from our controllers, mine is a generic 40A sine wave and my son has an 80A Sabvoton. If we go for a gentle cruise side by side I assume we are using the same amount of current however, my phase wires are stone cold and his are warm/hot to the touch? Anyone able to explain this? Cheers Pete

Interesting question. Pretty much has to be a set up issue, but not at all familiar with Sabvoton. Watching with interest.

Might be worth asking over on Endless Sphere?

Twice the current means twice the number of MOSFET's. It has to come in play on initial starts, any surge of the throttle, etc.
