I thought I was very careful to mention that? (See the last sentence of my quote).

If you, my friend, are riding your e-bike only on throttle as if it were an electric scooter then gears have no meaning. If you are, however, cycling then the human body behaves more like the Internal Combustion Engine as you are pedalling. Then the gearing really matters, especially with the mid-drive motor.

The outcome: Specialized has not sold a single e-bike in the state capital of Vermont. Why should they care for the 49th state then? I wonder how the Specialized business goes for Wyoming :D

You keep twisting the words. They have sold *MANY* e-bikes. They have sold *ZERO* 5.0 IGH models. Ironically, there was one 5.0 IGH vado sitting in the store yesterday. I asked if they sold others, and they said "Nope! this one was sold somewhere else, it's in for service". Didn't ask what it was there for.

If I were Specialized, Iā€™d kindly ask you take your business elsewhere. Kinda like Trek did with the ā€œGuruā€. How many bikes have you returned now (including non Specialized)?

Because it is no longer relevant. My returns were processing. The only reason to care would be to fix my problems.

They are free to do that. The LBS may due to the nature of specialized contracts. Due to specialized delivering them a broken bike, they now get nothing for all the work they put in to build (and attempt to repair) two bikes. And, again, how is that fair of specialized when specialized almost certainly delivered a bike that was DOA? (I am well past caring that uninformed people on the internet donā€™t believe that the bike was delivered broken)

no. Nothing wrong with the bike. It is working as designed. I have owned it since thanksgiving. I donā€™t like it as much as the specialized, but there is nothing broken about it. Unlike Specialized. I was selling it, but as it is now my only e-bike, I am holding off on that.

No idea. This bike gave me no reason to attempt a return. As a rule, I primarily return things for not working as described or designed. That bike is doing exactly what it should. I also very much enjoy it, but not in the same way I enjoy the specialized when working. That bike begs for me to go fast. But I donā€™t have any real desire to go on these big long scenic trips. I would take that bike when the goal is the destination, not the ride. The vado was capable of doing both enjoyably. The blade is really better for destination riding.
 
FWIW, Specialized Warsaw does not offer top-end e-bikes such as Vado 5.0 IGH for a full demo ride. When they offered a Levo Comp Carbon for a demo ride it was because Spec treats that expensive e-bike as a mid-range price only.

The new Tero X with Rock Shox suspension and the seat dropped. That e-bike is VERY heavy.

I bought an extra SL charger and a spare inner tube. The salesman has confirmed only 4 Specialized LBS left in our 5 milion people province of Mazovia as only those 4 stores really cared, had trained personnel and were bringing Specialized a good business.

Greetings from my leisurely trip in Warsaw on the most beautiful day of May this year (so far)!

Of all the things I can comment about, I don't find the Tero X heavy. I'm not the strongest person in the world by any means, but I find it quite reasonable to load into the car (electric of course šŸ˜ ). It may be that after many years of putting my recumbent in an SUV, it feels about the same. Far heavier, but the shorter wheel base makes it about a wash in terms of maneuverability. For me that's the only time when I care much about the weight of a bike.

It is exactly the situation I will meet on the gravel ultramarathon this year (crossing a small river up to your thighs is mandatory for all participants). I think I am forced to take my Vado SL for that trip. There are other situations such as a huge tree trunk on your path and no way around. (I used to be in such a situation. My riding buddies helped me carry the Vado over the fallen tree). The third situation could be steep long stairs (had it on one of my latest trips). Yes I was using the Walk Mode but the rear wheel lost the traction when I was half of my way up and I was almost thrown down the stairs!

Tero X is fine in its role of a SUV e-bike: The owner with a garage, riding the e-bike mostly on the pavement and occasionally on forest fire-roads is a good scenario. Besides, I regret I haven't tried lifting a Levo Alloy Comp just to compare the weight.

Your hardcore. I doubt I will ever be doing these kinds of things. And if I did, I would just turn around happily.

I carry my heavy Vado every weekend. I know how it feels. I was shocked how heavy the Tero X was in the LBS. That was the version with the Rock Shox fork (5.0?) Besides, the suspension fork worked as a dream, and the dropper post was excellent. What I noticed was very big down tube around the 710 Wh battery,
