...if I don't learn to keep my mouth closed while riding my ebike!

As with many areas, spring time == bug time. As gross as it is, here in the US southeast bugs are out en masse, and every time I open my mouth while riding, I consume some.🤪

Wife is always telling me to shut my mouth, but seems I never learn. Perhaps I'll research the nutritional value of different insects and save on our grocery bill.

My nose is usually blocked so I'm happy my Fox Rampage helmet has a metal grill over the mouth hole. Keeps sticks (not a risk, I don't downhill MTB race) and animals out. The chin guard is useful for preventing road burn on my chin, too.
This month we have big bees bumbling about. They go whack when they hit the helmet. I wear sunglasses and polyester gloves, too.

You could wear a mask loosely as you ride.

When I was 10, I was riding home from getting an ice cream cone from a local amusement park, one summer's early evening. Thwap @#$&/!phfffft! went a whole swarm of no-see-ums, right into my ice cream. 😝😭 I learned my lesson. Don't ride a bike with an ice cream cone in one hand at dusk.

I did a ride halfway across the US picking up a motorcycle some time back, and apparently it was a 'locust cycle'/cicadas. Crossing through Kentucky going over the bridge 'things started hitting me' - I was extremely glad I was geared up - no fairing and these things were several inches/quite big, they made quite the noise and splat at speed. Thankfully I was wearing a full face helmet with the visor down! :D
This literally went on for miles.
