Garmin Vario radar ? Stromer wiring?

Looking into the Garmin Vario rear radar system.
It lists 4/5/6 hours as the battery life.

It mounts on the seatpost so:
Is there an easy electric hookup to tap into?
…So it can run off the bike battery…
It would be mounted on ST2-S and/or ST5 and likely future ST7.

Anybody add radar to your Stromer,

you could run a usb cable to it but then you would have to worry about rain getting onto it.

My unit (RTL515) lasts longer than the times you quote when in flashing mode.

I remember reading somewhere that the varia won't operate while being charged. I may be wrong on this, but it's worth checking.

it does but maybe its the old one my newer one will turn on when the Garmin gets plugged in and its already plugged in. I found if you have a gamin computer and you charge it and its in distance of the radar it may turn the radar on and then it stays on. I aways charge them both at once or the radar by its self.
